Hi, my name is Tierri Ferreira.
I'm a Software Engineer.

This is where I began my Computer Science journey, in 2018.

At Escola Profissional Cristóvão Colombo, I was taught most basics about programming, creating a very strong foundation and preparation for University, through a vocational course.

I finished this course in 2021.

In the Polytechnic University of Beja, I took my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science for three years between 2021 and 2024.

I had the opportunity to develop my skills in many different IT fields, but more specifically I was able to gain more autonomy in my self-education path in diverse cutting-edge technologies which are starting to rise in the market.

For four months, I interned at a startup that mostly works with AR/VR, as well as many other cutting-edge technologies.

What I worked the most with was AR, mainly using Three.js and Google AR, as well as serverless workers as a back-end technology. I had the opportunity of creating a project for a large e-commerce retailer which consisted in the immersive visualization of products through a plug and play solution.

In this curricular internship, I applied my knowledge in the world of work, specifically in front-end with Angular and TypeScript.

As this internship ended, I had the privilege of being invited to become a full-time employee, having this as my current job.

During my programming professional course, we were invited to help this project by cleaning up litter on beaches in the city of Funchal, in the Madeira island.

Still back in Madeira, during a Social Intervention subject in my programming course, we were given the responsibility to help the elderly in a nursing home in Ribeira Brava to interact with technology adapted for them, to help with their cognitive abilities.

In Beja, during my Computer Science degree's second year, I participated in the Portuguese Food Bank's food collection campaign by helping collect various items at a supermarket.
